Meadowview Christian School began when a group of concerned parents met with the congregation of Meadowview Christian Church in February of 1970. The merging of ideas of these two groups resulted in the formation of Meadowview Christian School, Inc. Meadowview Christian Church donated ground for the school. It was the consensus of the group that the purpose of the school world be that young people be afforded the opportunity to develop mentally, spiritually, physically and socially in an atmosphere permeated with Christian ideals. The school became a reality and opened on September 7, 1970 with 332 students and 18 teachers. The founders and Board of Directors felt that the school’s success would be centered on the motto “Soli Deo Gloria” or “To God be the Glory”.
